Blentech Corporation has been serving the chemical industry for over thirty-six years processing, warehousing and reselling a wide variety of chemicals. Processing includes packaging (primarily the filling of drums and totes), blending and warehousing of customer materials.
Blentech Started with three men in a 3,000 square foot building in July, 1978, blending dry powders and lube oil product. Today it occupies a 40,000 square foot warehouse on 9.6 acres of land with a private rail siding.
Filling of drums with chemicals began as a sideline and has grown to approximately 100,000 drums per year. In addition to the filling of 55 gallon drums we aso have the capability to fill totes up to 550 gallons.
The first liquid blending tank was installed in 1980 and we currently blend more than 5,000,000 gallons per year. We have 9 stainless steel, 5,500 gallon blend tanks. The majority of the blends are water based materials, but we also do some oil base products either for the process or water treatment industry.
We ship and receive in excess of 100,000,000 pounds annually. We have a rail siding serviced by the Union Pacific Railroad that enables us to both ship and receive rail shipments. We can do truck- tank car transfers, drum materials from tank car or load blended materials into tank cars.
The Future
Blentech recently purchased thirty acres of land just east of Baytown in Chambers County, Texas and are beginning construction of a new facility. Eight acres will be developed in the beginning to continue and increase current operations. Our goal is to become a full line packing facility with the ability to fill any size container, from bottles to tank cars. We will have a rail siding serviced by Union Pacific Railroad. We hope to have this facility fully operational within the next five years.
